Understanding the Specs

Our 20-foot container pool holds approximately 4,800 gallons of water and weighs about 9 tons when filled. Despite that weight, the ground pressure is less than 1 PSI distributed across the base — lighter than a person standing on one foot. This means above-ground installation requires only a level surface with 4 inches of compacted gravel for drainage. See our installation process for the complete step-by-step guide.

The Pentair single speed pump provides reliable, straightforward operation — no complicated programming or automation. It's the same trusted equipment used in residential pools across the country. The cartridge filter system requires no backwashing and is simple to maintain.

The vacuum-infused fiberglass interior is manufactured using the same process as marine boat hulls. Unlike hand-layup fiberglass, vacuum infusion eliminates air pockets and creates a stronger, smoother surface that resists algae growth and reduces chemical consumption. Between the fiberglass and the steel container, high-density foam insulation provides 95%+ heat retention — dramatically reducing heating costs in cooler climates.

Electrical requirements are straightforward: a dedicated 110v-220v, 30 Amp GFCI-protected circuit. A licensed electrician can typically install this in under an hour. The pool comes pre-wired with all internal electrical connections complete. The complete package is $42,960 with everything included. Have questions? Check our shipping container pool FAQ.
